Because this misconception has crept up a number of times, despite my corrections, I want to make this as clear as possible: this book is 485 pages of text! Because I’ve been putting up so many images on Tumblr and Facebook, a few articles have erroneously reported that those images are from the book, and I hope that doesn’t disappoint people. What the book does have, however, is 150,000 words of history and analysis, utilizing more than one hundred original interviews, stacks upon stacks of fanzines, unpublished primary sources, etc. Obviously, for those people who’ve spent years or decades researching Marvel’s history, there will be some familiar information. But there will also be many, many, many surprises, for *everyone.* Promise!
